Ideal Synergy Effects

Due to open interfaces, all editorial systems, e.g. CCI, alfa, atex, SAXOTECH or Protecmedia, can be seamlessly integrated in ppi's Publishing Workflow, so that you can benefit from its integrated, efficient concept. And for publishers who work without a classic editorial system with DTP programs such as Quark XPress or InDesign/InCopy, ppi provides the integrative module LayoutLink. If you are looking for a fast, flexible and smart solution that ideally combines a CMS (DC-X) with InDesign, Content-X is exactly the right module for you.

Content-X

Content-X

Print, online, mobile, plus shorter and shorter deadlines and, at the same time, a higher information density – with editorial work becoming more dynamic, new ideas and approaches to creating an efficient, flexible and simple production workflow are needed. The answer is  Content-X, a solution that links the innovative search and content creation functions of the Content Management System DC-X with the high performance of the DTP program Adobe InDesign via the plugin ContentLink. With ContentLink, content from DC-X can be placed quickly and conveniently in InDesign and any changes monitored and updated. By focusing on the essentials, Content-X is a smart, cost-saving solution that is simple to operate.

Editorial System

Integrating the Editorial System

Apart from the high performance of its modules, ppi's Publishing Workflow above all boasts unique networking potential and simple integration of third-party products. This applies to both the integration of ad order entry systems and the control of different print/online output media and to editorial systems as well. By integrating your editorial system in ppi's proven workflow, you can benefit from the advantages of a highly automated, cost-effective, end-to-end workflow. And, in addition to this, your editorial department will no longer have to handle production-related issues and can concentrate on its primary tasks instead.

LayoutLink

LayoutLink

LayoutLink has been developed to allow editors to focus fully on content editing. It is the connecting link between ppi’s planning system PlanPag and Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress, the DTP programs used in the editorial department. LayoutLink creates and manages production documents for editors/layout designers. Editing is always based on the latest planning data. When the editorial part-pages have been completed, they are checked and transferred to ppi’s automated page assembly system ProPag. LayoutLink’s functions are seamlessly integrated in the familiar program GUIs and can be used intuitively.
